Dip coating systems for fluoropolymer coating of electronic assemblies

Puretecs’ dip coating systems enable efficient, precise, and reproducible coating of electronic assemblies with fluoropolymers. They were specifically developed for processing contact-compatible coatings and volatile media such as HFE, and combine high cost-effectiveness with ease of use and maximum process control.

Efficient coating technology

Coating is achieved by controlled immersion of the assemblies into a fluoropolymer solution within the system. The components are positioned in specially designed process baskets and automatically lowered into the coating medium via a lift system. The immersion process is followed by rapid, integrated drying.

The entire process typically takes only about six minutes.

Once the process is complete, the coated assemblies can be processed immediately.

By combining automated operation with integrated drying, our systems achieve consistently high quality with minimal operator intervention.

High throughput with a compact design

Depending on the system configuration, throughputs of up to approx. 280 Eurocards (Basic and Prima) or approx. 600 Eurocards (Optima) per hour are possible.

The compact design allows for easy integration into existing production lines.

Maximum process reliability and sustainability

All systems feature integrated systems to ensure a stable and environmentally friendly process:

• Cold trap for recovering evaporated solvents
• Water separator for separating condensate
• Integrated filter systems for cleaning the fluoropolymer solution
• Monitoring of all relevant process parameters
• Control and measurement of the liquid level

These technologies ensure resource-efficient operation and comply with applicable legal requirements for handling HFE.

Intuitive operation and flexible process design

The systems are equipped with modern control systems and offer:

• Custom settings such as partial immersion

The process baskets are designed as standard for common formats such as Euro cards and can be replaced with custom racks or magazines as needed. This allows even complex assemblies to be coated reliably and reproducibly.
