FD-40 – Fluorinated coolant
HFE liquid as replacement for Fluorinert™ FC-40
FD-40 is an electronic fluoride coolant based on perfluorinated compounds (CAS 86508-42-1) that has been specially developed for demanding industrial applications. This clear, colorless liquid is characterized by excellent dielectric properties, high chemical stability, and very good material compatibility. It is non-flammable, non-conductive, inert, and has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0.
FD-40 is an ideal replacement for Fluorinert™ FC-40 and can be easily incorporated into existing processes or blended with existing stock.
Due to its high thermal stability, residue-free properties, and electrical insulation capabilities, the fluid is particularly suitable for sensitive electronic applications as well as heat transfer processes.
Application:
● Heavy-duty cleaning (co-solvent) – heavy oils, greases, fluxes
● Medium-duty cleaning – oils, greases, waxes
● Light-duty cleaning (neat)– particulates, fluoro-lubricants, light oils, fluoropolymers
● Lubricant carrier: fluorocarbons, hydrocarbons, and silicones
● Heat Transfer Fluid
