HFE intensive cleaner with transdichlorethylene content
The 3M ™ Novec ™ 73DE high-tech fluid is a high-performance and economical substitute for n-propyl bromide (nPB or 1-bromoprophane), trichlorethylene (TCE), ozone-depleting hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) such as HCFC-225 (Asahiklin AK- 225) and HCFC-141b, as well as fluorocarbons (PFCs) with high global warming potentials (GWP). It is intended for cleaning applications. The use of the Novec 73DE high-tech liquid in vapor degreasing cleaning processes enables shorter cleaning times and more efficient, residue-free drying of the components compared to cleaning processes on an aqueous basis. Consequently, this leads to a lower energy requirement. Due to the low surface tension of the Novec medium, even complex surface geometries can be cleaned excellently.
